The 95th Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo runs March 2–21, 2027 at Reliant Park (the former NRG Park, renamed August 2026), with the World Championship BBQ Cookoff opening it February 25–27.

If you’re a new season ticket holder, your first regular-season sale through us is commission-free.

Why HLSR resale is different from any other ticket market

A 20-night HLSR season package isn’t 20 of the same ticket. It’s 20 separate concert markets bundled at one seasonal price. The price spread between your strongest and weakest night inside one package can be 5x or more once the lineup is announced.

The 2026 lineup illustrates the spread perfectly. Across 20 nights, RodeoHouston booked Lizzo, Kelly Clarkson, Creed, George Strait (closing weekend with Ashley McBryde), Cody Johnson (March 22 concert-only), Bun B’s Birthday Bonanza, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Russell Dickerson, Megan Moroney, Forrest Frank, Shaboozey, Pepe Aguilar, Red Clay Strays, and Koe Wetzel — collectively 28 GRAMMY Awards, 70 CMA Awards, and 9 Latin GRAMMYs. A holder with one $1,000 club season package effectively held 20 distinct tickets, each with its own buyer pool and its own resale curve. Treating that package as one block prices the marquee Saturday with George Strait the same as a Tuesday night with a smaller act. That’s where holders lose money.

The lineup announcements drive everything. HLSR confirms its concert lineup in a rolling January–February window. Each headliner gets announced individually, and the resale market for that specific night re-prices within 48 hours of the announcement. List before the lineup drops and you’re guessing. List flat across all nights and you’ve underpriced your gold and overpriced your dogs.

We do that work — night by night, announcement by announcement, with the right pricing approach for each artist’s specific buyer pool.

The demand ceiling: HLSR attendance records against the concert-configuration capacity Four horizontal bars drawn to the same scale: George Strait’s 2019 record of 80,108; the Jonas Brothers at 75,600 and Los Tigres del Norte at 75,595 in 2024; Garth Brooks’s paid-rodeo-concert record of 75,577. A dashed vertical line marks the over-75,000 concert-configuration capacity — three bars crowd it, Strait’s crosses it. Verdict: crowds over 75,000, night after marquee night — that is the buyer pool we distribute into. The demand ceilings, to scale George Strait, 2019 — all-time stadium record 80,108 Jonas Brothers, 2024 75,600 Los Tigres del Norte, 2024 — Go Tejano Day 75,595 Garth Brooks — paid-rodeo-concert record 75,577 concert config: >75,000 Crowds over 75K, night after marquee night — that’s the buyer pool we distribute into.
The page’s own records, drawn to scale. Bar lengths are exact. Three marquee nights crowd the >75,000 concert-configuration ceiling; Strait’s 2019 in-the-round show broke through it.

Reliant Stadium (NRG Stadium until the August 2026 renaming) seats more than 75,000 in HLSR concert configuration. George Strait’s 2019 in-the-round HLSR show set the all-time NRG Stadium attendance record at 80,108 fans. Garth Brooks holds the paid-rodeo-concert attendance record at 75,577. The Jonas Brothers (75,600) and Los Tigres del Norte (75,595, on Go Tejano Day) both cleared 75K in 2024. Those are the demand ceilings; that’s the buyer pool we’re distributing into.

How HLSR concert pricing actually behaves (patterns we see across years)

These patterns hold consistently across 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 lineups:

Texas country anchors — George Strait, Cody Johnson, Aaron Watson, Parker McCollum, Koe Wetzel — pull the deepest, most loyal demand. Resale value holds all the way to show day. These are the highest-leverage seats in any package.

Pop crossover and hip-hop bookings — Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Marshmello, Lizzo, Lil Wayne, Bun B’s Birthday Bonanza — pull a different, often younger crowd. Peak resale is typically earlier (within days of announcement) and softens toward show day as the buyer pool finishes shopping.

Mainstream country mid-tier — Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw, Old Dominion — is the steady middle. Reliable demand, predictable prices, low volatility.

Rock crossover — Journey, Creed, Bon Jovi era — has a narrower demographic but pulls hard within it. Concert-driven night, rodeo audience secondary.

Tejano/Latin — Pepe Aguilar, Los Tigres del Norte, La Original Banda — has its own dedicated regional buyer pool, often outside consumer-platform reach. Distribution to that buyer network drives meaningful price differential.

Concert-only closing nights — Cody Johnson 2026, George Strait 2022 — bypass the rodeo competition and stretch the venue capacity. These are the highest-attendance, highest-priced single nights HLSR ever produces.

A Texas country Saturday with a marquee act is a different ticket from a Tuesday night with a smaller-touring band. Sometimes by a multiple of three or four. That’s the spread we work.

Frequently asked questions

How much will my HLSR tickets sell for?

It depends entirely on the night and the headliner. Marquee Texas country Saturdays with George Strait, Cody Johnson, or Aaron Watson on the bill have historically cleared at significant premiums to face value, particularly Action Seats and Club Level. Mid-tier weeknight country has cleared close to face. Weak weeknights with smaller-touring acts have cleared below face. We’ll set the right price for each specific night based on the lineup announcement and live market conditions.

When should I send my HLSR tickets in?

Ideal: October through December, before the lineup announcements roll in January. That lets us be in position to react instantly when each headliner reveal reprices a night’s resale market. We accept submissions any time — last-minute works — but earlier gives us the most room to maximize.

Can I sell only some of my season tickets?

Yes. Most HLSR season holders only attend 4–8 of their 20 nights and sell the rest. The form has a field for which nights specifically. We handle any subset.

Do I have to set a minimum price?

No, and we’d recommend against it. The pitch we make is “we go for the most money possible” — and that works best when we have flexibility to chase the highest-paying buyer wherever they are. Setting a hard floor can prevent us from accepting an offer that’s below your floor but still strong relative to market. If you have a real floor (face cost recovery, for example), tell us and we’ll work to it.

When does the 2027 HLSR concert lineup get announced?

The lineup typically rolls out across early-to-mid January, with most major headliners confirmed by the second or third week. That announcement window is the single most consequential pricing event for every HLSR season holder — each headliner reveal moves the resale market for that specific night within 48 hours.

What about my BBQ Cookoff tickets?

Different inventory, different buyer pool. Cookoff weekend (Feb 25–27, 2027) is separately ticketed. Corporate Cookoff team passes are tightly controlled and tend to be more valuable than the gate ticket prices ($26 adult, $10 child) suggest. We treat Cookoff inventory separately from rodeo nights — different listings, different buyers, different pricing logic.

Will I have to sign a separate consignment agreement?

For standard inventory, no. The form on /sell is the consignment agreement. By submitting, you agree to our terms. For corporate sponsor allotments, suite-level inventory, or large multi-package deals, we may discuss additional documentation directly.

Can you take a wholesale buyout offer if it’s good?

If a wholesale buyer offers a number that beats what we can clear through full distribution, we’ll surface that to you. Most of the time, distribution wins by a wide margin — the broker making the buyout offer is going to turn around and distribute the same inventory at materially higher prices. That’s exactly the margin you keep by going through us instead.

What if a night doesn’t sell?

The tickets revert to you. We don’t charge anything on unsold inventory. Marquee nights virtually always clear; weak weeknights occasionally don’t, and those revert to you to use, give away, or otherwise handle.

How fast will you respond to my submission?

Within one business day by email, with next steps and transfer instructions. If you submit Monday morning, you’ll typically hear back the same day.
