New York Rangers · Madison Square Garden · New York
At The Garden, the building is the draw. MSG sets a premium floor no other NHL arena approaches.
Madison Square Garden — above Penn Station, in the middle of Manhattan, the most iconic arena in sports — carries a corporate-entertainment baseline that doesn’t move much on standings. The 2025-26 season was a down one (34-39-9, no playoffs, with Norris winner Adam Fox and Vezina winner Igor Shesterkin on injured reserve at the same time, and Artemi Panarin traded mid-year), but Fox and Shesterkin remain elite cornerstones, Mika Zibanejad anchors the lineup, and Mike Sullivan now runs the bench. We handle pricing, multi-marketplace listing, delivery, and buyer issues — you get paid Friday. First regular-season sale is commission-free for new season ticket holders.
The Rangers ticket market in 2026-27
MSG Rangers demand is corporate baseline plus event premium. The baseline — Wall Street client entertainment, law-firm season-ticket holdings, the Madison Avenue agencies — barely moves on standings, which is why a down 2025-26 didn’t reset this market. The premium stacks on opponent, date, and playoff implication. Pricing Rangers inventory without distinguishing those two demand sources is where inexperienced listers leave money on the table, and with Adam Fox and Igor Shesterkin still anchoring the roster under Mike Sullivan, the marquee dates carry real weight.
The premium windows we watch for Rangers consignors in the 2026-27 regular season:
vs. Islanders — the Battle of New York. UBS Arena is 25 miles east, but the cross-city rivalry makes any MSG Islanders visit a premium date. Island fans travel well, and lower-bowl pricing runs 30-50% above a comparable midweek.
vs. Devils — the Hudson River rivalry. Newark to MSG is a short PATH ride, Devils fans fill the visitor sections, and playoff-implication late-season dates are among the loudest home games.
vs. Flyers — the regional date. Philadelphia-New York train connections keep this a weekend travel date, with consistent lower-bowl and club-tier demand.
vs. Panthers — back-to-back Cup champions in 2024 and 2025. Any home date against Florida’s recent back-to-back winners trades at a premium on the strength of the visitor.
Playoff games. MSG playoff hockey is among the hardest tickets in New York sports — lower-bowl inventory is price-inelastic through the first three rounds, and the 2023-24 Conference Finals run reset buyer expectations.
MSG’s Bridge-level corporate suites, the Chase Club (lower-bowl premium), the Lexus Madison Level, and the 200-level bowl are entirely different demand curves. Wall Street corporate calendars drive the Chase Club tier; hardcore-fan travelers drive the 300s; rivalry premium stacks on both. We price these separately.
Inside Madison Square Garden
Madison Square Garden is in its fourth iteration — the current building opened February 11, 1968 above Penn Station. The 2011-2013 $1B “Transformation” renovation rebuilt the interior from scratch while preserving the exterior and the ceiling-suspended scoreboard. Capacity is 18,006 for Rangers hockey, shared with the Knicks (NBA) and the world’s most famous concert stages, owned by Madison Square Garden Sports Corp (James Dolan).
The 2011-2013 Transformation renovation
The $1B Transformation was one of the largest arena renovations in sports history — new concourses, an entirely rebuilt seating bowl, the new Chase Bridge suite levels (the cantilevered bridges that extend from the bowl edges), new premium clubs, and upgraded ice plant and HVAC, while the iconic exterior and the roof-suspended video board were preserved. Post-renovation, every seat in the building has sightlines and amenities comparable to a new arena.
Chase Bridges, the Madison Level, and the 200s
The Chase Bridges are MSG’s signature post-renovation premium product — cantilevered seating bridges that extend over the lower bowl for a unique elevated sightline. The Madison Level is the club floor between the bowls, with the Lexus Madison Club the premium tier there. The 100-level lower bowl is the hardcore-fan tier and the 200-level the volume upper bowl. Each draws a different buyer — novelty/experience on the Bridges, Wall Street entertainment in the Madison Club, the Rangers hardcore in the 100s.
Getting there on game day
MSG sits directly above Penn Station — the busiest transit hub in North America. LIRR from Long Island, NJ Transit from New Jersey, Amtrak from everywhere, and six NYC subway lines all feed Penn Station; no other arena in the world has this integration. Driving into Midtown on game night is unrealistic, and on-site garages start at $60. For Islanders fans traveling west via LIRR, the train arrives directly under the building.
History that still drives Rangers ticket demand
The New York Rangers are Original Six, founded in 1926, with four Stanley Cups (1928, 1933, 1940, 1994). The 1994 Mark Messier / Brian Leetch / Mike Richter Cup ended a 54-year drought and remains the defining modern Rangers memory, and Henrik Lundqvist’s career (2005-2020), plus the 2014 and 2015 Conference Finals runs, cemented MSG as a goaltending-reverent market.
The recent core — Artemi Panarin, Igor Shesterkin, Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox, and Chris Kreider — reached the 2023-24 Conference Final before losing to Florida. Since then the roster has turned over: Panarin was traded to Los Angeles during a difficult 2025-26 that finished 34-39-9 and out of the playoffs, with Fox (the Norris winner) and Shesterkin (the Vezina winner) both on injured reserve at the same time and Mike Sullivan now coaching. Those two remain among the best in the league at their positions, and the MSG demand floor — corporate, Original Six, and national — keeps the building a nightly destination regardless of a down season.
Beyond hockey: MSG concert history
Madison Square Garden is arguably the most storied concert venue in the world — The Beatles in 1964, Elvis’s 1972 four-night stand, Billy Joel’s record residency, The Concert for Bangladesh, and near-annual runs by Springsteen, McCartney, and the Rolling Stones. Billy Joel’s residency alone produced more than 100 consecutive sold-out dates. Concert-side pricing runs on Midtown corporate-entertainment absorption plus the premium the “MSG” name itself adds to any tour listing.
Why consign your Rangers tickets with us
We know which Rangers games move and when. Islanders on a Saturday is not the same listing problem as a Tuesday against Arizona. The premium dates are where MSG holders leave the most money on the table — and where pricing discipline, separating corporate baseline from event premium, returns multiples on what we charge.
You don’t manage buyers, transfers, or delivery issues. We handle the full transaction: multi-marketplace listing, delivery, customer support, dispute handling, and replacement tickets if the primary marketplace cancels a transfer the night of the game. You don’t get a text from a stranger at 6:45 PM on game night.
You get paid Friday after the event. One Friday payout for every game from the prior Sunday through Saturday. No marketplace payout delays, no held funds, no surprise chargebacks.
First regular-season sale is commission-free for new season ticket holders. If this is your first game with us and you’re a Rangers season ticket holder, we take zero commission on your first regular-season listing. The goal is to show you the difference in net payout — then you decide.

Full-service consignment vs. listing Rangers tickets yourself
Selling Rangers tickets is a premium-market problem with a corporate-entertainment baseline that marketplace pricing routinely underweights. Here’s an honest comparison:
| List yourself | Consign with us | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing decisions per home game | ~5-15 adjustments you make | We handle all of it |
| Multi-marketplace listing | One at a time, manually | Every major resale marketplace, plus wholesale broker channels and our private buyer list |
| Last-minute transfer issues | You handle buyer calls at puck drop | We handle it, including replacements |
| Payout timing | 7-30 days, varies by marketplace | Friday after the event, PayPal or wire |
| Pricing for Islanders, Devils, and playoff dates | Based on what you see on the marketplace | Based on nearly 20 years of premium-date data |
| Commission | 10-25% marketplace fees (variable by platform and event) | 20% standard (first regular-season sale free for new STHs) |

FAQs about selling Rangers tickets
How does my section affect what my Rangers tickets sell for?
MSG has six distinct hockey tiers. The Lexus Madison Level and suites are the top-tier corporate market, often $1,500-5,000-plus per seat for premium opponents. The Chase Bridges are a novelty-premium tier. Lower Bowl 100s sideline is the hardcore-fan tier; the ends and corners are mid-premium; the 200-level sideline is the travel-buyer tier; and the 200-level ends are volume. Each tier sells out in a different window, which is why one blanket price leaves money behind.
After a down season, are Rangers tickets still a strong market?
Yes — more than almost any team, because MSG’s corporate-entertainment baseline doesn’t move on the standings. The 2025-26 season was injury-marred and missed the playoffs, but Adam Fox (Norris) and Igor Shesterkin (Vezina) remain elite, the Garden itself is the asset, and the Battle-of-New-York and playoff dates stay among the hardest tickets in New York sports. We separate the corporate baseline from the event premium so the marquee dates are priced to their real demand.
Should I wait until closer to game day to list my Rangers tickets?
For Islanders, Devils, and playoff-implication dates, list early — 60-90 days out captures travel buyers and corporate calendars. For standard weeknight games, 7-14 days out is optimal, though premium-opponent games often see a secondary late spike at 48-72 hours out when corporate decisions close. We handle per-game timing.
