Getting started
Who is this service for?
Season ticket holders with seats they can’t use and premium single-event inventory holders (Super Bowl PSL, corporate championship allocation, Taylor Swift floor, front-row concerts). If your whole order is small — say, one or two tickets totaling under about $200 — you’ll typically net more listing direct on a marketplace yourself, and we’ll tell you honestly in our reply.
How does the submission process work?
You fill out the Sell form with your event, date, seats, and quantity. A real broker on our team reviews it and comes back within one business day — usually a lot sooner — with our read on the market and the right pricing strategy. No algorithms making the final call — an experienced broker looks at every submission.
What types of events do you list?
MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLS, college sports, concerts, tours, Broadway, festivals, comedy shows, UFC — if it’s on a marketplace, a major resale marketplace, the primary marketplace, a major resale marketplace, or the primary marketplace, we can list it.
Do you take paper tickets or will-call?
No. Digital tickets only. The major marketplaces have moved almost entirely to mobile transfer, so paper and will-call create fulfillment problems we can’t manage cleanly.
How far in advance should I list?
As early as possible. Tickets listed in the final week before an event typically sell for 20–30% less than the same seats two or more weeks out (FinanceBuzz, 2022). The earlier we list, the better we can do for you.
Money and commission
What’s your commission?
20% of the sale price on most events. 15% on major events (Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Final, CFP National Championship, Final Four, Masters). No listing fees, no monthly fees, no hidden marketplace pass-throughs.
Is 20% a lot?
On the surface, sure — major marketplace headline seller fees are around 10%. But we’re a full-service team, not a DIY platform. The 20% covers active human pricing, multi-marketplace listing, section mapping done correctly, VIP amenity staging, timing expertise, and buyer-service handling. On premium inventory these usually add 20–40%+ to final sale price — far more than the fee difference. One client had 8 Final Four tickets and wanted $12K outright. We paid him $30K.
When do I get paid?
Every Friday. We run one consolidated payout weekly for every sale that settled the prior week. PayPal or direct wire — your choice when your first sale closes.
Do I get charged if my tickets don’t sell?
No. Commission is only earned when a ticket sells. If nothing sells, you owe us nothing and we return the tickets to you. In our experience, this is rare — we work actively to make sure your inventory moves.
What’s the “floor price”?
The minimum price we agree to list your ticket at. Marketplaces may sell it higher during demand spikes, and that’s good for both of us. We never sell below the floor without your approval.
Are there tax implications I should know about?
Starting with the 2022 tax year, marketplaces report gross proceeds over $600 to the IRS on Form 1099-K. We’ll issue you a clear annual statement of your payouts so you (or your accountant) have clean numbers. We’re not tax advisors — talk to a CPA about your situation.
Is there a promo for first-time season ticket holders?
Yes. Season ticket holders using our service for the first time get their first sale commission-free. Mention “Season Holder” in your submission.
Trust and safety
How do I know you’re legit?
Submitting our consignment form is a binding agreement (see our Terms). Our payouts are on a clear weekly cycle. Start with a small listing if you want to test us first — most of our new sellers do, and with the season ticket holder promo your first regular-season sale is commission-free.
Who actually owns SellTicketsFast?
SellTicketsFast is operated by an experienced ticket brokerage team with nearly 20 years in the industry. Ownership details are available on request.
What happens to my ticket once I transfer it?
It goes into our listing inventory. We list it across every channel major marketplaces simultaneously with inventory auto-sync, so the first buyer on any platform wins and we pull the listing from the others immediately. You can’t double-sell.
Can I cancel my listing after I submit?
Yes, with two caveats: (1) if the ticket has already sold, we can’t unwind the sale; and (2) if you cancel within 48 hours of event start, we may charge a cancellation fee to cover the relisting cost on our end.
What if the event gets cancelled or postponed?
Marketplace refund policies take over. If the venue fully cancels, buyers get refunded and we remit any remaining obligations per marketplace rules. If the event is postponed, your listing pauses until the rescheduled date.
What if my tickets don’t sell?
It happens rarely because we work actively to move every listing. If we’re not getting traction close to event day, we’ll call you — we can either reprice together, offer you a small credit for your trouble, or return the tickets to you so you can use them or transfer to a friend. No charges if they don’t sell, no surprise fees.
How you compare
How is SellTicketsFast different from listing on a marketplace myself?
Three ways: (1) we list on every major resale marketplace, plus wholesale broker channels and our private buyer list at once instead of one, which significantly boosts sell-through; (2) we handle pricing and re-pricing with nearly 20 years of broker expertise; (3) we stage listings correctly (section mapping, VIP amenities, platform-specific optimization) which DIY sellers routinely get wrong.
Why not just sell to an outright buyer?
You’ll typically get 40–60% of market value from an outright buyer because they’re taking on inventory risk. With consignment you get most of the sale price, and an expert team working to maximize what the market delivers.
Practical details
Which marketplaces do you list on?
every major resale marketplace (resale), a major resale marketplace, and the primary marketplace. Inventory is auto-synced so a sale on one instantly pulls the listing from the others.
Do you list internationally?
Currently US events only. International is on the roadmap.
Do I need to use the SellTicketsFast marketplace account, or mine?
Ours. You transfer the digital tickets to SellTicketsFast, and we list under our marketplace accounts. This keeps your personal marketplace accounts clean and keeps inventory sync consistent.
How do I contact a real person?
Phone: 888-996-3852. Email: hello@sellticketsfast.com. Or use the Contact form. We reply within one business day — usually a lot sooner.
