Philadelphia Flyers · Wells Fargo Center · Philadelphia

The rebuild turned the corner. The Flyers are back in the playoffs — and beat Pittsburgh to get a round.

In Rick Tocchet’s first season behind the bench, Philadelphia went 43-27-12, returned to the playoffs for the first time since the 2020 bubble, and won the Turnpike series over Pittsburgh in six before Carolina swept them in the second round. With Matvei Michkov and rookie Porter Martone leading a young core, one of hockey’s loudest buildings has a winner to cheer again — and Wells Fargo Center demand has moved with it. We handle pricing, multi-marketplace listing, delivery, and buyer issues — you get paid Friday. First regular-season sale is commission-free for new season ticket holders.

The Flyers ticket market in 2026-27

Wells Fargo Center demand is driven by Philadelphia’s multi-generational hockey fandom, and the loyalty held even through the rebuild years — the building filled on rivalry dates regardless of standings. Now there’s a winner to cheer: a first playoff series win since 2020, a young core, and a coach in Tocchet who got immediate buy-in. That reset what buyers expect, and lower-bowl pricing on Penguins, Rangers, and Capitals dates has firmed past rebuild-era comps. The planned Comcast Spectacor new-arena project (announced for the second half of the 2020s) remains a longer-term consideration for season ticket holders. Pricing the marquee dates to a playoff team, not the rebuild, is where holders capture the upside.

In Rick Tocchet’s first season the Flyers returned to the playoffs, beat Pittsburgh in the first round, then were swept by Carolina in the second A turnaround story. A path moves from the rebuild years to a forty-three win season that returned Philadelphia to the playoffs for the first time since 2020, then a first-round series win over Pittsburgh in six games, ending in a second-round sweep by Carolina. A panel names the young core: Matvei Michkov, rookie Porter Martone, Travis Konecny, and Tyson Foerster, with Rick Tocchet coaching. The verdict: the rebuild turned the corner, and demand is climbing. The page’s own mechanic, drawn: the rebuild turned the corner. Tocchet’s first season returned Philadelphia to the playoffs for the first time since 2020 and produced a first-round series win over Pittsburgh before Carolina swept them in the second round. Michkov, Martone, Konecny, and Foerster give the building a young winner to cheer, and pricing the marquee dates to that turnaround is the whole job.

The premium windows we watch for Flyers consignors in the 2026-27 regular season:

vs. Penguins — the Turnpike rivalry. Pittsburgh-Philadelphia is the marquee Pennsylvania rivalry, and the Flyers just beat the Penguins in a first-round series — that history adds heat. Pens fans travel via Turnpike, and lower-bowl pricing on Pens Saturdays runs 50-70% above midweek.

vs. Rangers — the I-95 hostile-visitors date. Rangers fans fill the upper bowl on weekend visits. The interstate-rivalry intensity is real, and weekend dates carry it.

vs. Capitals — the 2018 Cup-era rival. Washington is a 2-hour Amtrak ride; Caps fans travel for weekend games, and the lower bowl moves.

vs. Panthers — back-to-back Cup champions in 2024 and 2025. Any home date against Florida’s recent back-to-back winners trades at a premium on the strength of the visitor.

Playoff games. Flyers playoff inventory was scarce through the rebuild, and the market just got its first taste back — a series win over Pittsburgh. Postseason seats at Wells Fargo Center are price-inelastic in a town that waited years for them.

Wells Fargo Center’s Cadillac Grille Club (lower-bowl premium) and the lower-bowl sideline 100s are the premium tiers. Corporate suites ring the 200-level. The 300s upper bowl is volume inventory. Center City Philadelphia’s legal, financial, and health-systems corporate base absorbs premium on calendar signals.

Inside Wells Fargo Center

Wells Fargo Center opened August 31, 1996 as the CoreStates Center, going through multiple naming-rights deals (First Union Center, Wachovia Center, Wells Fargo Center since 2010). Capacity is 19,538 for hockey. The building sits in the South Philadelphia sports complex — adjacent to Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park — and is shared with the Philadelphia 76ers. Owned and operated by Comcast Spectacor.

The 2019-2023 transformation renovation

Comcast Spectacor invested $400M+ in Wells Fargo Center across 2019-2023: rebuilt concourses, new premium clubs (Cadillac Grille, Club 1979), a new center-hung video board (one of the largest in the NHL), and comprehensive food-and-beverage upgrades. The bowl geometry wasn’t changed, but the experience levels around the bowl were reset from scratch — a material differentiator from the 2010s-era Flyers listings.

Cadillac Grille, Club 1979, and the lower-bowl sideline

The Cadillac Grille Club is the lower-bowl premium with private entry and in-seat service. Club 1979 (named for the 1979-1980 Flyers’ 35-game unbeaten streak) is the club-level lounge. Lower Bowl 103-106 and 121-124 is the center-ice sideline hardcore-fan tier. Corporate suites ring the 200-level. Upper 300s are volume. Each tier has a different pricing curve.

Getting there on game day

Wells Fargo Center sits in the South Philadelphia sports complex, served by the SEPTA Broad Street Line (NRG Station, direct to Center City) and by regional rail with a transfer. Philadelphia International (PHL) is 15 minutes away via I-95. On-site and adjacent parking ranges $25-45. For buyers coming from New York via Amtrak, 30th Street Station to the arena requires a subway transfer.

History that still drives Flyers ticket demand

The Philadelphia Flyers were founded in 1967 as one of six NHL expansion teams — the first NHL franchise in the city since the Philadelphia Quakers (1930-31). The 1973-74 and 1974-75 back-to-back Stanley Cups under coach Fred Shero with Bobby Clarke, Bernie Parent, Bill Barber, and Reggie Leach made the Flyers the first expansion team to win the Cup. The ‘Broad Street Bullies’ nickname became the franchise identity. Multiple 1980s-1990s Cup Final appearances followed, but no further championships.

The Cup drought is now 50 years and counting. The Eric Lindros / Ron Hextall / Rod Brind’Amour 1990s teams reached the 1997 Final (swept by Detroit). The 2010 Flyers reached the Final (lost to Chicago in six). The 2019-20 bubble run (second-round loss to the Islanders) was the last playoff round won — until 2026, when Rick Tocchet’s first team returned to the postseason and beat Pittsburgh in the first round before Carolina swept them in the second. The rebuild around Matvei Michkov (2023 seventh-overall pick), rookie Porter Martone, Travis Konecny, and Tyson Foerster has turned the corner, and secondary-market pricing reflects a loyal fanbase that held through the down years and now has a winner.

Beyond hockey: Wells Fargo Center concert history

Wells Fargo Center is a top-10 arena concert venue nationally. Bruce Springsteen (Jersey/Philly native), Billy Joel, Taylor Swift, Drake, Eagles, and every major rock and hip-hop headliner has played multi-night runs. The South Philadelphia sports-complex location is genuinely well-served by SEPTA, which keeps concert-side pricing anchored rather than diluted by transit friction.

Why consign your Flyers tickets with us

We know which Flyers games move and when. Penguins on a Saturday — especially now, with a playoff series between them — is not the same listing problem as a Tuesday vs. Chicago. Premium dates are where Wells Fargo Center holders leave the most money on the table, and where pricing discipline returns multiples on what we charge.

You don’t manage buyers, transfers, or delivery issues. We handle the full transaction: multi-marketplace listing, delivery, customer support, dispute handling, and replacement tickets if the primary marketplace cancels a transfer the night of the game. You don’t get a text from a stranger at 6:45 PM on game night.

You get paid Friday after the event. One Friday payout for every game from the prior Sunday through Saturday. No marketplace payout delays, no held funds, no surprise chargebacks.

First regular-season sale is commission-free for new season ticket holders. If this is your first game with us and you’re a Flyers season ticket holder, we take zero commission on your first regular-season listing. The goal is to show you the difference in net payout — then you decide.

Full-service consignment vs. listing Flyers tickets yourself

Selling Flyers tickets is a loyal-market problem with corporate-baseline demand — and now a playoff team on top of it. The building sells out on rivalry dates regardless of standings; pricing discipline captures the premium stacking. Here’s an honest comparison:

FAQs about selling Flyers tickets

How does my section affect what my Flyers tickets sell for?

Wells Fargo Center has five main hockey tiers. Cadillac Grille Club and Club 1979 are the top tier, often $400-800 per seat on Penguins/Rangers dates. Lower Bowl 103-106 and 121-124 (sideline center ice) is the hardcore-fan premium. Lower Bowl ends are mid-premium. Corporate suites are separate. Upper 300s are volume inventory. A playoff team has widened the marquee-date spreads.

My Flyers game got rescheduled — what happens to my consigned ticket?

NHL games occasionally reschedule mid-season for weather or arena conflicts with the 76ers. The league’s standard policy is that tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date. We handle all buyer communication and reissue the transfer. If a game is canceled outright without rescheduling (extremely rare), we refund the buyer and you’re not charged commission on that listing.

Now that the Flyers are back in the playoffs, should I list earlier?

For Penguins, Rangers, and Capitals dates, list early — 60-90 days out captures regional travel buyers, and the renewed playoff interest has lengthened the demand window. Standard weeknights: 7-14 days out. Playoff inventory should be listed within 48 hours of a matchup being set — demand in a market that just got a series win back spikes fast. We handle per-game timing.
