San Antonio Spurs · Frost Bank Center
Every Spurs premium just stopped being speculative. Wemby tourism, last-years novelty, Duncan-era scarcity — a Finals run certified all three.
Victor Wembanyama changed what a Spurs ticket is worth overnight. Since the 2023 draft, Frost Bank Center inventory has re-entered the national-scarcity category that the Duncan-Parker-Ginobili era defined. The November 2024 Frost Bank naming-rights rebrand and the planned $1B+ downtown arena opening around 2032 layer novelty premium on top of the on-court demand reset. First regular-season sale is commission-free for new season ticket holders.
The Spurs ticket market in 2026
Spurs demand at Frost Bank Center operates at the intersection of three forces — Wembanyama tourism (the single largest per-game draw in any NBA building since Curry’s MVP years), the ‘last years in this building’ novelty premium ahead of the 2032 downtown move, and the historical scarcity of premium-date Spurs tickets from the Duncan era — and in June a fourth force arrived: the Wembanyama-era Spurs reached the 2026 NBA Finals, the franchise’s first since 2014, converting every one of those premiums from speculative to proven. For inventory holders, 2024-25 forward is a materially different market than 2022-23, and pricing accordingly is the difference between leaving money on the table and capturing it.
The premium windows we watch for Spurs consignors in the 2026-27 season:
vs. Mavericks — Texas rivalry. Dallas is 3.5 hours north on I-35. Mavs fans drive down. The matchup has deep playoff history (Ginobili, Duncan, Dirk), and the post-Luka context adds a new layer.
vs. Lakers — LeBron+Luka plus legacy weight. The Lakers-Spurs history runs deep. Any Lakers date at Frost Bank Center carries a premium, and Luka’s return (given his Texas family ties and former Dallas tenure) adds emotional weight.
vs. Thunder — Southwest Division, the 2025 champs against the team that took the West from them. Two strong teams, geographically proximate, and nationally televised at increasing frequency.
vs. Warriors — Curry scarcity plus Wembanyama-Curry novelty. The Curry vs. Wembanyama matchup is a generational lottery ticket — two era-defining talents on the court. Premium demand on these dates runs 50-70% above standard.
Wembanyama milestone games. Any game where Wembanyama is at or approaching a franchise record, career milestone, or All-NBA statistical threshold adds demand in real time. These dates are hard to predict in advance but create the highest-margin in-season listing opportunities.
Frost Bank Center’s Lexus Courtside Club and the Stars at Night Ballroom (lower-bowl premium) trade on San Antonio corporate demand — USAA, Valero Energy, H-E-B, and the regional military and healthcare sectors. These corporate buyers absorb inventory steadily, and the Wembanyama-era upgrade in premium-tier pricing has been absorbed by the corporate market without discount — a sign of genuine demand strength, not just speculation.
Inside Frost Bank Center
Frost Bank Center opened October 18, 2002, as SBC Center, renamed AT&T Center (2006-2023), and Frost Bank Center in November 2023 following a naming-rights acquisition by the San Antonio-headquartered Frost Bank (Cullen/Frost Bankers). Capacity for Spurs basketball is 18,418. The building sits on the northeast side of San Antonio, adjacent to Freeman Coliseum and the AT&T Center Parkway. Spurs Sports & Entertainment announced in 2024 a planned move to a new ~$1B+ downtown arena around 2032, funded by a mix of team equity and public financing.
The 2023 Frost Bank rebrand and the 2032 downtown move
The November 2023 Frost Bank naming-rights deal produced the current venue name. The rebrand was purely commercial — no structural changes — but has been reflected across all team marketing and signage through 2024-25. Meanwhile, the 2032 downtown-arena plan is the big forward variable for Spurs inventory pricing. The announcement itself has started to introduce ‘last years at Frost Bank’ novelty premium for specific games (openers, closers, marquee opponents). Sellers should be aware that 2026-27 through 2031-32 inventory carries an accumulating novelty premium — now compounded by Finals-era demand — that passive marketplace posting doesn’t capture.
The Lexus Courtside Club, Stars at Night Ballroom, and why San Antonio corporate demand behaves differently
Lexus Courtside Club (lower-bowl premium adjacent to the court) and Stars at Night Ballroom (club-access premium lower-bowl space) are the two tiers where San Antonio corporate entertainment demand concentrates. USAA (headquartered in SA), Valero, H-E-B, the medical-research sector, and the military-contracting base absorb this inventory steadily. San Antonio’s corporate-entertainment market is smaller than Houston’s or Dallas’s but more loyal — multi-year Spurs suite packages turn over less frequently than in most NBA markets.
Getting there on game day
Frost Bank Center is on AT&T Center Parkway on the northeast side of San Antonio, 10 minutes from downtown by car. VIA Metropolitan Transit runs game-day shuttle service from downtown; no light rail or commuter rail in San Antonio. Parking is abundant and moderately priced ($15-30 in adjacent lots). Most buyers drive. For out-of-town travel buyers flying into SAT (San Antonio International), the drive is 20 minutes. The 2032 downtown move will transform transit-access discussion significantly, but 2025-26 through 2031-32 pricing is still car-dominated.
History that still drives Spurs ticket demand
Five NBA championships — 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2014, all with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Gregg Popovich, and rotating supporting casts (David Robinson early, Kawhi Leonard late). The Duncan era (1997-2016) is the most successful sustained run in the 21st century NBA and defined the franchise’s cultural identity. Gregg Popovich remains head coach through the 2025-26 season — the longest tenure in major North American professional sports.
Frost Bank Center has hosted every Spurs home game since October 2002. The building saw the 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014 championship runs, the 2013 Finals loss to Miami (the Ray Allen Game 6), Manu Ginobili’s jersey retirement, and the June 2023 draft lottery that landed Victor Wembanyama. The Wembanyama era specifically has transformed home-game atmospheres — opposing-team fans now fill 20-30% of the upper bowl on road-tourism nights. 2025-26 inventory prices on that altered demand base.
Beyond basketball: Frost Bank Center concert history
Frost Bank Center has hosted Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, George Strait (his Texas-home-state premium), Eagles, Bruno Mars, and the annual rodeo-season country-music circuit. San Antonio’s concert market is smaller than Houston’s or Dallas’s, but the building is the presumed South Texas stop for major tours. Concert-side pricing benefits from Strait’s home-state presence; his Frost Bank Center dates trade at resale multiples above any Texas venue other than Houston’s Rodeo BBQ events.
Why consign your Spurs tickets with us
We know which Spurs games move and when. Wembanyama vs. Curry is not the same listing problem as a Tuesday vs. Charlotte. Premium Wembanyama-tourism dates at Frost Bank Center — Warriors, Lakers, Mavericks, Thunder, playoff — are where Spurs inventory holders leave the most money on the table. Our pricing discipline, incorporating both Wembanyama-milestone variables and 2032-move novelty premium, returns multiples on what we charge.
You don’t manage buyers, transfers, or delivery issues. We handle the full transaction: multi-marketplace listing, delivery, customer support, dispute handling, and replacement tickets if the primary marketplace cancels a transfer the night of the game. You don’t get a text from a stranger at 6:45 PM on tip-off night.
You get paid Friday after the event. One Friday payout for every game from the prior Sunday through Saturday. No marketplace payout delays, no held funds, no surprise chargebacks.
First regular-season sale is commission-free for new season ticket holders. If this is your first game with us and you’re a Spurs season ticket holder, we take zero commission on your first regular-season listing. The goal is to show you the difference in net payout — then you decide.
Holding Spurs season seats, Wemby-milestone dates, or Mavs/Lakers games at Frost Bank you won’t use?
The Wembanyama-era Spurs just reached the franchise’s first Finals since 2014 — tourism demand, the 2032 last-years countdown, and Duncan-era scarcity all price as proven now, and passive listing captures none of the compounding. Send your dates and sections.
Full-service consignment vs. listing Spurs tickets yourself
Selling Spurs tickets in the Wembanyama era is a new pricing problem — the demand base has expanded beyond San Antonio and beyond basketball fans, and 2032-move novelty premium is accumulating. Here’s an honest comparison:
| List yourself | Consign with us | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing decisions per home game | ~5-15 adjustments you make | We handle all of it |
| Multi-marketplace listing | One at a time, manually | Every major resale marketplace, plus wholesale broker channels and our private buyer list |
| Last-minute transfer issues | You handle buyer calls at tipoff | We handle it, including replacements |
| Payout timing | 7-30 days, varies by marketplace | Friday after the event, PayPal or wire |
| Pricing for Mavericks, Lakers, and Wembanyama-tourism dates | Based on what you see on the marketplace | Based on nearly 20 years of premium-date data |
| Commission | 10-25% marketplace fees (variable by platform and event) | 20% standard (first regular-season sale free for new STHs) |

FAQs about selling Spurs tickets
How does my section affect what my Spurs tickets sell for?
Frost Bank Center has four main tiers. Courtside and the Lexus Courtside Club are a separate market — four-to-five figures per seat for Wembanyama-milestone and Warriors dates. The Stars at Night Ballroom and mid-bowl premium trade on San Antonio corporate demand. Lower bowl 100-level is the volume retail tier, where Wembanyama-tourism demand has added meaningful premium. Upper bowl 200-level is the tourism-buyer tier. Each tier moves on different signals.
My Spurs game got rescheduled — what happens to my consigned ticket?
NBA games almost never reschedule. Frost Bank Center’s other primary tenants are the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo (February) and periodic concert bookings. The Rodeo scheduling window is set a year in advance; conflicts are rare. The league’s standard policy is tickets remain valid for any new date. We handle all buyer communication. If the game is canceled outright (extremely rare), we refund the buyer and you’re not charged commission.
Should I wait until closer to game day to list my Spurs tickets?
For Warriors, Lakers, Mavericks, Thunder, and any national TV date, list 60-90 days out — that captures Austin, Houston, and Dallas-Fort Worth travel buyers. For standard weeknight games, 10-14 days out works. Wembanyama-milestone dates (career-record, All-NBA-threshold games) require real-time pricing adjustments we handle as the season progresses.
