Canada Life Centre opened November 16, 2004 as the MTS Centre, originally home of the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. When the Atlanta Thrashers relocated to Winnipeg as the Jets in 2011, the building became the Jets’ NHL home. Capacity is 15,321 for hockey — by design, the smallest in the NHL. Later named Bell MTS Place and then Canada Life Centre in 2021. Owned by True North Sports + Entertainment.

True North deliberately kept Canada Life Centre at 15,321 seats when going from AHL- to NHL-capacity in 2011 — to preserve the scarcity that keeps demand elevated and the intimate atmosphere that defines Winnipeg hockey. The Manitoba Club, Platinum Club, and the 100s
The Manitoba Club is the lower-bowl premium with private entry and in-seat service, and the Platinum Club is a mid-premium. Sections 101-107 and 116-122 are the lower-bowl sideline center-ice hardcore-fan tier. Corporate suites ring the 200-level, and the Upper Bowl 300s are volume but rarely available in the secondary market on rivalry dates. Getting there on game day
Canada Life Centre sits in downtown Winnipeg on Portage Avenue. Winnipeg Transit buses reach the building; there is no rail transit. The Winnipeg Pedway skywalk connects some downtown hotels to the arena in winter months. Winnipeg Richardson International (YWG) is 15 minutes west, with direct flights from Minneapolis, Chicago, and Denver for American buyers. On-site and adjacent parking ranges $15-30 CAD.
History that still drives Jets ticket demand
The Winnipeg Jets name has two distinct eras: the original Jets (1972-1996 WHA/NHL, relocated to Phoenix as the Coyotes in 1996) and the current Jets (relocated from Atlanta in 2011 when the Thrashers moved). The original franchise’s legends include Bobby Hull and Dale Hawerchuk. The franchise has never won a Stanley Cup in either era.
The relocated Jets have contended consistently since 2017-18, including a 2018 Conference Finals appearance. The 2024-25 season was the high-water mark — a franchise-best 116 points and the Presidents’ Trophy, ending in a second-round loss to Dallas, with Connor Hellebuyck winning both the Vezina and the Hart. Then came the step back: 2025-26 went 35-35-12 and missed the playoffs, a regression in which Hellebuyck’s November knee surgery (the Jets went 4-8-1 in his absence) loomed large, even as Mark Scheifele posted a 101-point season.
