Life Burns Faster, Metallica’s residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, runs 24 shows from October 1, 2026 to March 13, 2027, two a week, each with a completely different setlist. It was announced as eight October dates, sold out within minutes with a reported 300,000 people in the queue, and grew to 24. Then the M72 World Tour returns to North American stadiums for twelve shows from May 8 to June 19, 2027, in the round at the 50-yard line with the Snake Pit in the middle. That is a lot of tickets bought a long way out, and a lot of chances for a date to stop working.
Life Burns Faster at Sphere: the dates still ahead
The residency plays Thursday and Saturday nights, and the two shows in a week are different shows, with different setlists. After November 5 and 7, the run breaks for the holidays and picks up again on January 28. Ticketmaster’s event page for the residency says your phone is your ticket, so everything about selling these seats runs through the Ticketmaster app: the tickets sit in your account, and selling them means transferring them.

Two things about a Sphere ticket matter more than the seat itself. First, the date: a Thursday and the Saturday that follows it are separate events with separate buyers, so each one is priced on its own. Second, what came with the ticket. Ticketmaster states that VIP package elements, merchandise, fan club memberships and ticket insurance are not transferable, and that ticket insurance does not apply to transferred tickets. M72 returns to stadiums: May 8 to June 19, 2027
The 2027 North American run is twelve shows with Limp Bizkit and Avatar, staged in the round at the 50-yard line with the Snake Pit at the center of the stage. General on-sale was September 25, 2026, so most of these tickets were bought seven to nine months before the show. That is a long time for a job, a wedding, a kid’s tournament or a travel budget to change.

Weeknight stadium shows and Saturday shows draw differently, and so do the seven college and NFL stadiums on this list compared with the domes. We don’t pretend to know in November what a June ticket will bring. What we can tell you is where comparable seats are listed today, and we watch that market for you all the way to the show.
Snake Pit, floor and stands: what we check before we list

What decides what your Metallica tickets bring
There is no single Metallica price. A Saturday night at Sphere in February and a Tuesday at a stadium in June are different products with different buyers. Four things move the number more than anything else: the date and how close it is, where the seats are, how many comparable seats are listed against yours, and how many you have together. Why Metallica tickets hold their value
Metallica have built their touring around giving fans a reason to come back. The M72 World Tour opened April 27, 2023 at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam with a “No Repeat Weekend” format: two nights in each city, two different setlists full of deep cuts, and different openers each night. By December 2025 it had played 70 shows to 4.23 million people and grossed $517.5 million, one of the highest-grossing tours of the 2020s. The Sphere residency follows the same idea with two different shows every week, and the 2027 stadium run keeps the Snake Pit at the center of the stage.

Can I sell my Metallica Sphere tickets?
If they transfer in the Ticketmaster app, yes. Entry is mobile, so the tickets live in your account and selling them means transferring them to the buyer. We confirm the transfer works before anything is listed, at no cost.
I bought a VIP package. Can I sell it?
The ticket itself may transfer, but Ticketmaster states that VIP package elements, merchandise, fan club memberships and ticket insurance are not transferable. I have the Thursday and the Saturday of the same week. Should I sell both?
